Even better: if you stay 4 nights at Shamwari (either at one lodge or two different lodges), you can enjoy 6 FREE nights at the participating hotels (minimum of 3 nights/maximum of 3 nights at any one of the free hotels).

The World Cup draw has just been completed about 90 minutes ago, and whilst England have been given a fairly decent draw from a footballing point of view (avoiding France, Portugal, and Ivory Coast) the journey sees them cover over 2000 km just in the group stage, and to get to the final by road fans would be covering over 6,000km!

World Cup Seedings Confirmed

Fifa has confirmed the eight seeded teams for next summers World Cup, and England fans will be delighted to hear that they have been confirmed as one of seeds.

The full list of seeded teams is Spain, Brazil, Argentina, England, Germany, the Netherlands, holders Italy and hosts South Africa.

The 32 qualifiers will be drawn into eight groups on Friday in Cape Town when the draw is made from 1745 GMT for next summer’s tournament.

Teams that the seeds will probably be most keen to avoid include France and Portugal (who both narrowly missed out on seeding),  Ivory Coast, and the USA.  Given the way in which the draw is made a worst-case scenario on Friday for England would result see them drawn in a group with France, Ivory Coast and the United States.

Roll on Friday!

Stay 4 nights for the price of 3 at Savanna

Savanna tented lodge in the Sabi Sands has always been a favourite of ours here at Travel Butlers – in fact it was the first place that Tracey & I ever went on safari all those years ago!  You should have seen her face when I said we were staying in a tent….and then again when she saw this was a tent like no other she had ever seen!

Anyway, the good news from Paddy and the team at Savanna is that they are running a special offer from 1st December to the end of March (excluding 10 days around Christmas) where guests can  Stay 4 nights for the price of 3 at Savanna.

This is a great opportunity to experience a fantastic safari in the world-famous Sabi Sands Game Reserve, and we are sure this offer will prove to be very popular.
