Day 1

Arrive into Windhoek Airport. Go through Immigration, collect your luggage and clear Customs, then make your way into the Arrivals Hall. Day 2

Set off early for the long drive to Sossusvlei (allow about 5 hours). An endless sea of shifting sand dunes, Sossusvlei is a worldwide sensation and easily Namibia's most iconic feature. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2013, this far-reaching wave of giant orange dunes stands in startling contrast to the deep blues skies overhead and is punctuated only by stretches of cracked white vlei scattered with petrified trees.

Day 4

Today, set off on the 5 hour drive to Swakopmund, Namibia's busiest resort town - which offers a huge array of activities, an interesting German heritage, and is also home to some of the friendliest people in Southern Africa.

Day 5

Allow about 5 hours today to drive to the Erongo Mountains. Set afoot massive granite rock boulders, overlooking the magically beautiful Erongo mountain range, is Ai Aiba - The Rock Painting Lodge. The overwhelming panoramic view from the restaurant and bar is amazing.

Day 7

Allow about 5 hours to drive to Damaraland. Arriving guests are met at the pick up point situated at Palmwag Lodge, where secure parking is provided, and transferred by game viewing vehicle the 18 km to the camp. The transfer usually takes an hour and a half and provides an introduction to the area and the guide will explain briefly the geology, fauna and flora and some general details about the concession. During your stay here, you can enjoy a range of activities, including guided nature walks, scenic guided game drives, and sundowner trips.

Day 9

Allow about 5 hours to drive to Etosha Safari Lodge. This stylish lodge, just 10 km south of the Andersson Gate into the Etosha National Park, overlooks a vast expanse of mopane woodland. Explore the Park in your own car or on a guided game drive (additional cost) with an experienced guide who is familiar with the waterholes and the animals that visit them, and let them introduce you to Etosha's wildlife from the elevated seat of a game vehicle. Early mornings or late afternoons provide the best game viewing times. And, after whatever way you choose to explore Etosha, you can return to the lodge and dive into the cool waters of the pools to freshen up.

Day 11

Allow about 2.5 hours to drive to the Okonjima Nature Reserve. Situated halfway between Windhoek and the Etosha National Park, Okonjima Nature Reserve is equally famed for frequent cheetah and leopard sightings on its safaris, as well as The AfriCat Foundation. Since being founded in 1991, AfriCat's mission has been to make significant contributions to conservation, while trying to ensure the survival of Namibia's predators in their natural habitat. It undertakes research, community support and environmental education projects, as well as conservation work to rehabilitate carnivores such as cheetah and hyena.
