Thornybush is an 11,500 hectare fenced reserve just west of Timbavati and the Greater Kruger Park.
Whilst the reserve is fenced off from the neighbouring reserves and Kruger, there is still a very high density of animals, including all of the Big 5, and the diverse accommodation runs from rustic understated comfort to luxury of the highest order.
With the mountains of the nearby Drakensberg Escarpment providing a magnificent backdrop and the reserve teaming with wildlife, this is a truly magical part of Africa.
All lodges have sparkling swimming pools and offer exciting dawn and dusk safaris in open Land Rovers with qualified rangers and trackers, and bush walks for the more adventurous.
