Set high above the spectacular Kariega River Valley, the 9,000 hectare malaria-free Kariega Game Reserve is home to game and wildlife such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, hippo, giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest, waterbuck and a variety of antelope, as well as a myriad of bird species.
A host of activities are offered, including game drives, hiking trails amongst more than 25 species of game and wonderful birdlife on the non-dangerous section of the reserve, fishing, bird watching, canoeing, mountain biking, horse riding, and the popular river cruises on the Kariega Queen.
The lodges on the Kariega Game Reserve all offer a fully inclusive African safari including accommodation, all meals and 2 activities per day.

The accommodation at Kariega Lodge consists of 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom log chalets. Each chalet is decorated in an ethnic style and are very spacious.
River Lodge

River Lodge's 7 luxuriously appointed suites are all decorated to a very high standard. There is also a 2 bedroomed thatched suite with separate living room, outdoor barbeque area and private swimming pool, which is ideal for families or groups of friends travelling together.
Ukhozi Lodge

Ukhozi Lodge accommodates 20 guests in 10 suites crafted from log, with panoramic views from private decks. The suites are decorated in an African style and each suite is fully air-conditioned.
The Homestead

Orginally built as a farmhouse, the Homestead can accommodate up to 10 people in 5 en-suite bedrooms and has a private swimming pool.
Your stay includes the services of a private hostess and chef, as well as a personally appointed game ranger who will make every effort to ensure guests have a memorable safari experience.
