Sodwana Bay

Renowned for its sport fishing, scuba diving and snorkelling, Sodwana is situated on the coast within the Greater St Lucia Wetland Park. Aside from Sodwana's wealth of opportunities for diving, boating and angling, a 5 km self-guided trail is available for the enjoyment of nature lovers and bird enthusiasts.

The camp features Swiss-style log cabins, which include 2 or 3 bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, lounge/dining room and kitchen together with barbecue facilities.

General Information For Guests

Sodwana Bay is in a malaria area and special precautions are necessary.

The gate is open 24 hours a day

The office is open from 8 am to 4.30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and from 7 am to 4.30 pm from Friday to Saturday. The main reception office closes at 3 pm Sunday afternoons. ::Should guests arrive after office hours they are to please proceed to the camp gate, where they will be assisted.

Facilities include diving, fishing and boating. Horse riding (beach and reserve) and micorlighting are also available.

The shop in the reserve is run by a concessionaire and stocks curios, groceries and fishing tackle.

The nearest town which has a full range of services is Hluhluwe which is 80 kms away.
