Schulphoek Seafront Guest House is situated at the beautifully protected sanctuary of Schulphoek Bay, with spectacular uninterrupted sea views, just 5 km from Hermanus town centre.

There are 7 double rooms, all en-suite & luxuriously fitted. The bedrooms have immense charm and character, each individually decorated with fine linens, offering privacy and exclusivity with subtle touches of luxury.

The guesthouse is well known for its delectable food. Fresh seafood and in-season shellfish, as well as venison are firm favourites. All of this is complemented with a wine collection of over 7,000 bottles of regional South African white and red wine.

Directions For Drivers

From Cape Town International Airport (via the R43): Take the N2 Highway North from Cape Town International Airport past Somerset West, over Sir Lowry's Pass. After Houw Hoek Pass take the R43 Botrivier/Hermanus turnoff to your left. Continue on the R43 past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus. Turn right at Sandbaai into Main Road (at Engen Garage). At 3rd Avenue turn left. Continue until 3rd Avenue meets Piet Retief Crescent - you will then see the entrance to the guest house (3 flags).

Scenic Route from Cape Town (via the coast on the R44): Take N2 towards Somerset West. Turn left at R44 to Strand ( just past the Shell Garage). Proceed to Strand until Gordon's Bay. Travel on R44 along the coastal road, "Clarence Drive" to Rooiels, Hangklip, Betty's Bay and Kleinmond. Continue through Kleinmond and at the T-junction join the R43 to Hermanus. Continue past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus. Turn right at Sandbaai into Main Road and follow the directions as above.

From the Garden Route: Take the N2 towards Cape Town. Take the Stanford turn off, and follow Main Road into Hermanus. Continue through the town centre for approximately 4.6 km on the R43 towards Sandbaai traffic light intersection. Turn left into Sandbaai Main Road (at Engen Garage). At the 3rd stop sign turn left into 3rd Avenue. Continue to next stop and you will see the entrance to the guest house (3 flag poles).
