La Cabrière Country House is a beautiful Provencale-style retreat with panoramic views of the breathtaking Franschhoek mountains and valley, offering peace and tranquillity. Slightly removed from the vibrant and buzzing village, yet within walking distance yet within walking distance of its shops and restaurants, La Cabriere provides the ideal base from which to enjoy all the activities that the village has to offer.
The accommodation offers a high level of personal service, and all rooms are individually and luxuriously decorated.
The spacious Garaden Suite Deluxe rooms offer a private terrace and can be linked to a Garden View Room to offer family accommodation.
The Mountain View rooms are attached to the main house. They have their own separate entrances and offer stunning views on the Middagkrans mountain which glows red at sunset. There is a small terrace common to these rooms - an ideal spot to enjoy sipping on a glass of sparkling wine.
The Poolside rooms are located in a detached cottage. In this Provençal style building breakfast is served, either under the pergola in the new garden or on the main terrace in the summer, or in the dining room on chillier mornings. The rooms overlook the gardens and pool and each have a private terrace from which to enjoy the outstanding view and of course take a plunge in the beautiful swimming pool.
Another large heated swimming pool is also available for all guests.

Directions from Cape Town: Take The N1 direction Paarl.: Turn off at Junction 47*, (the R44 and the second exit to Stellenbosch.). Turn right at the bottom of the off-ramp, under the motorway and across the R101. Cross the railway, and then take the next left, the R45 to Franschhoek, just past a blue and white building called Tahiera’s Superette. Follow this road until you reach a T junction just after crossing the railway again.: Turn right for Franschhoek, and keep straight on up the valley for about 20kms until you arrive in the village. Carry on up the main street past the shops and restaurants until you come to a T junction in front of the Huguenot Monument.: Turn right, and then first left up Middagkrans Road (a gravel road which turns to tarmac). Directions From George/Hermanus: Take the N2 direction Cape Town as far as Grabouw.: Turn right direction Villiersdorp. Follow this road until you have crossed the reservoir on a new bridge. Turn left immediately on leaving the bridge, direction Franschhoek.: Carry on over the pass and down the other side. As you come down into the valley you will have the Huguenot Monument on your left. Do not turn right into the mains street of Franschhoek. Instead, go over the intersection at the monument.: Take the next turning on your left which is the Middagkrans Road (a gravel road which turns to tarmac). General Information For Guests
All room have an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, air conditioning, a hair dryer and shaving plug-points, a TV and Wi-Fi, a minibar, tea/coffee facilities, under-floor heating, and a ceiling fan.
Smoking is restricted to the outside. Strictly no smoking in the rooms, main house and public areas.
