Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may normally be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge around this time, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.

Rooms must normally please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

All meals, all beverages including a top quality wine list and fine champagne, 2 daily game viewing drives, a daily walking safari (subject to favourable conditions) and a laundry service are included. IN ADDITION: For all visitors, there is an entrance fee of R30 per person (R40 per person effective 1st September 2012) to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, payable IN CASH at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R150 per vehicle (R160 per vehicle effective 1st September 2012) cash entrance fee. All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. A childrens programme is offered, but children 6 years and under are not allowed on game drives. Children of all ages are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.

Other Useful Information

Children over the age of 6 are welcome to participate in game drives but unfortunately are not able to participate in bush walks.

Younger children are not able to participate in the regular game viewing schedule. However, the lodge offers Cubs Activities complete with Activity books and a Cub's Club. Baby-sitting is available at no extra cost. Simple snacks and light meals for children such as sandwiches can be prepared on request.

There is an observatory for guests use, which is perfect for star-gazing.

Iinformative talks on flora, fauna and conservation can be done on request for both adults and children.

There is also a fully equipped gymnasium, and tennis courts with viewing pavilion (rackets and balls supplied).

The main lounge is equipped with DVDs, videos, music and a book library, and children?s books and games are also available on request.

Scenic helicopter flights over the bush to view spectacular sights such as Gods Window and the Blyde River Canyon can be arranged at an additional cost.
