Ukhozi Lodge
Kariega Game Reserve
Ukhozi Lodge
Only 80 minutes east of Port Elizabeth, a visit to Kariega Game Reserve is the perfect extension of your trip along South Africa's famous Garden Route.
Set high above the spectacular Kariega River Valley, the 9,000 hectare malaria-free Kariega Game Reserve is home to game and wildlife such as lion, elephant, leopard, rhino, hippo, giraffe, zebra, eland, wildebeest, waterbuck and a variety of antelope, as well as a myriad of bird species. Due to the diversity of activities on offer at Kariega, anything from 2 to 5 nights can be enjoyed, however, a minimum 2 night stay is highly recommended.
The golden beaches of Kenton-on-Sea are less than 15 minutes away, and horse-riding along the beach can also be arranged.
During the day and between game drives, guests can soak up the sun around Ukhozi's outdoor heated pool. In the evenings, unwind in front of warm log fires, enjoy sumptuous cuisine or simply share experiences of the African bush with fellow guests.

"The lodge was great. Our room was amazing!! They even upgraded us to the Ukhozi Lodge, which I think was half a star more :-)
Our ranger was ok, a bit difficult to understand his English! Even a British couple thought so, but he was nice and had lots of things to tell us. The service at the lodge was impecable.
We got sunny days every day, but super windy! it was a great place and perfect to start with a "light" version of Arica by going to South Africa.
You guys were really great. Lots of info and I love that you have commented on Trip Advisor. I'll definetly use you again next time we travel to Africa! I've forwarded your mail to a couple who are thinking of going to Africa too.
Thanks for everything!"
