Thula Thula Game Reserve is less than 2 hours drive from Durban in a malaria free area. Historically part of the private hunting grounds of legendary Zulu King Shaka, founder of the Zulu empire, Thula Thula is today an exclusive private sanctuary for Africa's famous wildlife.
Thula Thula's 1,500 hectares is home to a diverse African wildlife population, including elephant, rhinoceros, leopard, giraffe, zebra, nyala, hyenas, crocodile, kudu, wildebeest and a spectacular variety of other indigenous species, great and small. Birdlife is prolific with over 350 species.
Candle lit dinners are served either in the dining room, around the pool, on the veranda, or in the Boma for a traditional Zulu dinner and bush barbecue under the African sky.
With only 8 luxury thatched chalets decorated in flavours of ethnic and colonial elegance, Thula Thula offers as much privacy and comfort as you could wish for.

2 safaris (game drives) daily or a guided bush walk, full breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fresh bakes and dinner are included.
The rate excludes your personal bar account, sundowner drinks, telephone, curios and child minding, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable entrance fees.
