Rooms may normally be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival, and must normally please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Children under the age of 12 (maximum one child per room) will be accommodated free of charge on a Bed Only basis if sharing with one or two adults, but will be charged for meals. Children occupying their own rooms will be charged the full adult rate.

The Piccolo Mondo Restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner can accommodate up to 130 people in style and comfort. Offering live entertainment in the evening, the Il Ritrivo Bar and Lounge serves light meals and cocktails. In-room dining is available 24 hours a day.

There is a fully equipped gymnasium with personal trainers, steam bath, heated indoor swimming pool, and grassed sundeck. You can also indulge yourself at the Health Hydro.

Like the square that surrounds it, the Michelangelo offers a medley of activities. Art galleries, game parks, botanical parks and gardens, arts and crafts, diamond-cutting works, mine museums and historical monuments.

Within comfortable walking distance are the shopping and entertainment facilities of the area, including a classic theatre and movie houses.

Sports facilities in the area include squash, golf, tennis, bowls, ice-skating, wind-surfing, sailing, fishing, boating, ten-pin bowling, polo and horse-riding. For the more intrepid travellers, hot air ballooning and skydiving can be arranged on request.

Guests can also now take the Gautrain from OR Tambo directly to Sandton. The Sandtons station is located underground next to the intersection of Rivonia Road and West Street.
