“Our stay at The Elephant House was the first of many decadent experiences. The setting for breakfast out in the open overlooking the pool and garden was very special. It really had the wow factor - we would have loved to stay more than one night but it was an ideal choice as we could visit Addo Safari in the morning from The Elephant House before going on Safari at Bukela Lodge in the afternoon. It was an excellent plan. We really loved our trip to Addo with a very friendly ranger from The Elephant House - it was a real highlight of our trip and we would not have known it was possible to do this without you.”

“We are both keen to THANK YOU for your recommendation of the Elephant House at Addo, wow it was amazing.

The Elephant House was ‘more British than Britain’ offering full ‘English’ breakfasts, high tea (served with fabulous home made cake every day between 2pm and 4pm) and complimentary pre-dinner drinks served before the gong is struck to summon the guest through for a wonderful meal.

This was the PERFECT end to our adventure.”

“Thanks for this, Paul ... Lalibela was great ... we were the only ones on that day's evening safari so they looked after us royally and focused on the things the children wanted to see (giraffes in Jessica's case, which proved a bit elusive ..!) The children thoroughly enjoyed it (especially playing the drums with the barman while we had supper!!) and it clearly taps into the coastal / no-malaria market well.

We would love to go back ... we had a wonderful time with our friends as well as on our trip up the coast ... but I suspect it may be a few years away yet as there are many other places to visit ... but looking at all the wonderful books at The Elephant House really whets the appetite for other areas of Africa!
