Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival. Please note that lunch, which is included in your rate, is served from 12.30 pm, and you are invited to arrive by this time to enjoy this before checking into your room. If you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm the very latest, or else you may miss your first afternoon game drive.

Rooms must please be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

2 safaris (game drives) daily with the exclusive use of a 4x4 game vehicle with a private ranger, all other activities, local beverages, and full breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fresh bakes, and dinner plus the services of a personal chef are included.

The Homestead offers extraordinary living in a home away from home, while a private hostess, chef and game ranger ensure every comfort of a luxurious safari experience. A bar, satellite television and playroom make it suitable for the whole family.

The Homestead is equipped with its own 4x4 safari vehicle.

For those wanting to cool off from the hot African sun, dive into the river and revel in the beautiful river pools surrounded by pristine forests. For the less adventurous, relax at the sun-splashed private swimming pool.

During one of your morning game drives, you will enjoy a memorable cruise down the Kariega River on the Kariega Queen and enjoy the tranquillity of nature, whilst viewing the wonderful birdlife and game along the river.

For hiking enthusiasts, Kariega?s trails are a must. Walk safely amongst more than 25 species of game and wonderful birdlife on the non-dangerous section of the reserve.

For energetic guests, mountain bikes are available for your enjoyment. Enjoy the freedom of viewing game whilst taking a ride in the pristine bushveld for an unforgettable African bush adventure.

Canoes are available for guests to take a leisurely paddle down the Kariega River.

Magnificent horse riding on the expansive beaches of nearby Kenton-on-Sea can be arranged.

For golfing enthusiasts, the well known Royal Port Alfred or Fish River Sun Golf courses are only 25 and 40 minutes away.
