Directions

From Eastgate Airport / Hoedspruit
From the Airport, turn right and then turn left onto the R40. Continue along here, and turn left onto the R531 towards the Orpen Gate. Once inside the Park, follow the signs to the camp through the Park.

Do not get out of your car until you reach the camp. You may see some wildlife on your way - if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive off-road in any circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE : The Kruger National Park prohibits the use of roads within the Park before the gates are open and once the gates are closed, therefore guests need to plan their arrival and departure times carefully. You cannot arrange to leave the Park before the gates are open, and you must ensure that you arrive at the entrance gate with sufficient time to drive through the Park to reach your destination by the time the gate closes, otherwise you may not be permitted to enter.

January / February: Open 5:30 am, Close 6.30 pm
March: Open 5:30 am, Close 6 pm
April: Open 6 am; Close 6 pm
May to July: Open 6 am, Close 5.30 pm
August / September: Open 6 am, Close 6 pm
October: Open 5:30 am, Close 6 pm
November / December: Open 5:30 am, Close 6.30 pm

You should allow at least 1-2 hours to drive through the Park to reach the rest camp.

Please take note that the maximum speed limit in the Park is 50 km / h for tar roads and 40 km / h for gravel roads.

From Hazyview
Follow the R40 towards Klaserie. Turn right onto the R531 towards the Kruger Orpen Gate, and follow the directions as above.

From Johannesburg / Pretoria
Take the N12 / N4 from Johannesburg via Witbank / eMalahleni and Middleburg towards Nelspruit. Turn left on the R540 towards Belfast. In centre of town turn right to Dullstroom and then on to Lydenburg / Mashishing. Pass through Lydenburg / Mashishing, taking the R36 to Ohrigstad, and go through the Strijdom Tunnel. Turn right onto the R531 to Klaserie / Acornhoek and follow the signs to the Orpen Gate.
