Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp

Sossusvlei, Sossusvlei and The Namib Desert

Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp

Sossusvlei Wilderness Camp is located on a 46,000 hectare private nature reserve with its own entrance into the Namib-Naufkluft Park. The camp has been built near the top of a mountain out of brick, rock, timber and thatch, and offers guests spectacular desert scenery. The main lounge and bar area is under thatch, with an outdoor deck for dinner under the stars around a 'family' style table.

Game that is often spotted on the nature drives includes springbok, gemsbok and ostrich, and at night it is possible to see spotted hyena, aardwolf, cape fox and the bat-eared fox.

Activities on offer at the camp are varied and numerous:

The early morning guided game drives to the spectacular dunes for sunrise are one of the highlights of staying at the camp. Brunch is enjoyed under the acacia trees at Sossusvlei.

Guests can also enjoy guided nature drives on the private reserve, at night and during the day, to enjoy the Namib scenery and the desert-adapted wildlife and flora.
