Sibuya Tented Camp
Sibuya Game Reserve
Sibuya Tented Camp
Sibuya offers luxury tented accommodation in the Eastern Cape. The breathtakingly beautiful 3,000 hectare malaria-free reserve is a sanctuary to an abundance of diverse wildlife from elephants to otters, and almost everything in between, including the Big 5.
Sibuya has more navigable river than any other game reserve in South Africa. The birdlife is consequently prolific: there are nearly 400 different species.
The unique Sibuya experience starts immediately with a 30 minute boat transfer to River or Forest Camp. Turtles, dolphins and whales might be seen near the river mouth. Both camps nestle in riverine forest and have been constructed in an environmentally conscious manner.
Canoes at the camps are regularly used by guests, keen paddlers and novices alike.
Birding and game viewing on horseback is a wonderful way to experience nature at close quarters.
The smaller, more intimate River Camp has just 4 safari tents, ideal for families with children, or for sole-use specialist groups. The luxury tents all have decks offering views of the river or forest.
Delicious cuisine is an important part of the Sibuya experience. Fine dining under the stars or relaxed dinners at various wooden decks at viewpoints along the river is a highlight.
