Shishangeni Private Lodge
Mpanamana Private Concession, Kruger National Park
Shishangeni Private Lodge
Shishangeni Private Lodge is situated on a 15,000 hectare private concession in the south-eastern section of the world-renowned Kruger National Park.
The location of the lodge offers guests an opportunity to view the greatest diversity of wildlife that Africa has to offer. Guests can view the big game from open vehicles, coming close to the 'Big 5' - elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard - as well as wild dog and cheetah.
Some of the drives will be on the lodge's own concession, where your guide will have the opportunity to drive offroad to get you unbelievably close to the wildlife, but others may be in the Kruger Park itself, where your ranger will be restricted to remaining on the road network at all times.
With over 300 bird species, the reserve is a birdwatcher's paradise.
There is a swimming pool for guests to relax around inbetween game drives, and a gymnasium.
After a thrilling evening game drive, dine on traditional cuisine around a roaring boma fire under the stars of the African sky.
The 22 individual chalets are all luxuriously appointed with a private game-viewing deck as well as mini bar, fireplace, outdoor shower and sitting area.
Inter-leading rooms for families are available upon request.
