Shibula Lodge

Situated in the malaria-free Welgevonden Game Reserve of the Limpopo (Northern) Province, Shibula Lodge hugs the banks of a scenic river and has magnificent views of the overhanging cliffs where guests are entertained by the daily activities of the resident baboon troops. The lodge accommodates a total of 16 guests in ultimate luxury.

The superbly decorated main lodge boasts a well-stocked library and an elegant lounge and dining area, complete with a baby grand piano. A sprawling deck with magnificent views leads to a swimming pool. The Bush Spa offers various treatments, all chosen with the aim of relaxation and rejuvenation.

This game reserve, where the Big 5 roam freely, is home to an extraordinary diversity of plants and animal life, as well as more than 250 bird species. Guests are assured of exceptional game viewing

Pre-breakfast game drives or bush-walks for the adventurous, high teas of mouth watering surprises, and evening game drives followed by atmospheric lantern-lit boma dinners under the African sky all contribute to the magic of Shibula.

Each of Shibula's 8 chalets have an en-suite bathroom with Victorian bath and outside shower, and also feature a private patio.

The decor throughout the entire lodge has been acclaimed by all as being exceptional and unique. Lace and crystal is subtly blended with authentic, African culture.
