Savanna Private Game Reserve

Savanna is situated near the Newington Gate entrance, in the famous Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, and offers the ambience of a romantic bygone era. The luxury tented suites combine the romance of a tented roof and draped inner ceiling, and ensure the utmost privacy.

Savanna prides itself on attention to detail, and exceptional levels of personal service. With only 14 guests, the staff have the time and dedication to attend to your every need. In addition, the excellent food and world class Big 5 game viewing with knowledgeable and enthusiastic rangers, will make your stay here totally memorable.

There is an attractive outdoor swimming pool, ideal for cooling off after your morning game drive, and a comfortable upstairs lounge and library area, all overlooking the waterhole, which is floodlit at night, and where some of Africa's most impressive wildlife comes down to drink.

Full English breakfasts and lunches are served on the veranda, and dinner is either served in the dining room or in the starlit boma, warmed by a roaring log fire.

Savanna has 7 beautifully appointed tented suites. Rustic reed blinds, coir carpets, a draped canvas ceiling and built in lounge area with bolsters and scatter cushions all combine to create the most luxurious tents in Africa. Each has a fully-stocked mini bar, a spacious en-suite bathroom, and a private veranda which is just perfect for relaxing and absorbing the sounds of the African bush.

Three of the suites feature a Victoriana ball and claw bath, and a double shower, as well as their own private plunge pool and small garden area.

Price Guide: From R3780 ( approx £254 ) per person. Special Offers may apply - prices on request.

Individual Suites: 2 game drives per day, game drive drinks, optional walking safaris, 3 meals daily, and teas / coffees are included.

Savanna Suite with Private Lounge and 2 Bedrooms: 2 game drives per day in a private Land Rover, private dining with waiter in attendance, all drinks and laundry are included.

The rate excludes curio shop purchases, laundry service (when staying in individual suites), personal bar account (when staying in individual suites), telephone calls, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable Sabi Sand entrance fees.

Children aged 8 years and older are welcome. Rates available on request. Only children 16 years and older are allowed to go on bushwalks.
