Saruni Mara Camp

Saruni is a deluxe, intimate lodge set in a private conservation area outside the Masai Mara National Reserve, the most famous Game Park in Africa.

For safaris guests go out in comfortable, fully-open Land Rovers, specially designed to give you maximum visibility over the landscape and the animals. O­n foot safaris guests can walk on the plains and in the mountains and hills that surround Saruni.

Guests also have the opportunity to 'meet the neighbours' and visit the nearby Masai homes and villages and share moments of their life in a genuine way.

The main lodge dining area and is a mixture of old-fashioned Africa and modern design. Its huge fireplace is the focal point of life at Saruni and it is here that guests exchange memories of the day's safaris.

Exceptional cuisine that is served around the long table, or alternatively meals can be taken in the bush among the wild animals, with birdsong and animal calls as a backdrop.

There is also the Maasai Wellbeing Space, which offers a range of massage and wellness tresatments.

Saruni has 6 large cottages, where you can experience both the elegance and safety of a permanent accommodation with the thrill of sleeping in close contact with nature. The rooms are furnished with colonial antiques, Persian carpets and African art.

Each cottage has elegant Italian bathroom fittings, polished wooden floors, and large bathrooms where the canvas front can be totally open to offer you an amazing "shower with a view".

The décor is unique for each cottage and from the large verandahs you can enjoy a unique view of the Mara plains and watch the many wild animals that come to the waterhole.

Your safari actually starts from your massive cedar bed, from where in the mornings you can see elephant, leopard, waterbuck, bushbuck and impala wandering freely and peacefully in the grounds of the camp.
