Royal Legend Safari Lodge is located along the banks of a seasonal river in the Timbavati Private Game Reserve, which forms part of the Greater Kruger National Park - an area comprising of more than 2.2 million hectares of untamed bushveld, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo thriving alongside giraffe, zebra and a variety of antelope.

Induce a state of balance and harmony in body, mind and spirit at the Lodge's Spa where a variety of therapies provide the ultimate relaxing, revitalising experience and promote a feeling of general wellbeing. A large jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and equipped gym are available to complete the experience.

Meals are taken in the massive thatched entertainment area, where the arrangement of the furniture provides a cosy feel. This is enhanced by 2 large circular fireplaces, which provide a focal point and the ideal location to discuss games sightings on a chilly winter's night.

The lounge and dining areas overlook the riverbed and a waterhole, lit at night with animal-friendly spotlights. A magnificent bar also gives an uninterrupted view of the waterhole.

The Royal Lodge's 10 luxurious suites all command a magnificent view, and guests can appreciate an almost unbroken view of the river from the comfort of their beds through the glass doors on 2 sides of the suite. Each suite also has its own private deck area.

All the suites have air conditioning, and have a spacious en-suite bathroom, with spa baths and doubled washbasins. A large shower enclosure leads outdoors into a private outdoor shower with a view of the river bed.

Price Guide: From ZAR2235 ( approx U$ 301 ) per person. Special Offers may apply - prices on request.

Baskets with tea, coffee, rusks, muffins and croissants on the morning game drives, various savoury snacks on the evening game drives, brunch, high tea, dinner, 2 guided game drives in open Land Rovers with highly trained rangers and trackers and walking safaris are included. PLEASE NOTE: All other drinks are NOT included. IN ADDITION: There is a one-off Conservation fee of R150 per person payable directly to the lodge when you arrive. For self-drive visitors, there is also a one-off cash vehicle entrance fee of R120 per vehicle payable at the main Control Gate. All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are generally not allowed on game drives, but this is at the discretion of the Manager.
