Directions

From The Garden Route / Port Elizabeth: Take the N2 from direction Cape Town / Plett / Knysna towards PE / Grahamstow n . Turn off the N2 onto the R335 (signposted Motherwell / Markman and there is also a sign right after this sign for the Addo Elephant Park). Travel approximately 50 km to Addo village. Continue for a further 11.5 km after the village and turn left at the turn-off signposted Zuurburg / Dave Marais Camp / Slagboom. Travel 3.5 km along this dirt road until you will see the River Bend gates on your right hand side. River Bend is a further 3 km down this road. Note: If you go past the entrance to the Addo Elephant National Park, then please turn back.

From Grahamstown / Eastern Cape Game Reserves: Take the N2 towards Port Elizabeth. Take the Paterson off-ramp (R342) off to the right (also signposted Shamwari Game Reserve). Go past Shamwari (entrance on your right) and continue along the gravel road until Paterson. Continue on the R342 towards Addo and approximately 25 km along the road you will see the Addo Elephant Park turn-off on your left. Continue past Addo for a further 1.5 km and turn right down the road sign-posted Zuurburg / Slagboom. Follow the directions as above.
