From Johannesburg by Road

It is at least a 4-5 hour drive to the Paul Kruger Gate into the Park, and then of course you will have to allow time to drive through the Park to get to your camp. If you would like a quote for a hire car, please do let us know and we will be happy to arrange this for you.

Scheduled Flight from Johannesburg

There are daily flights run by South African Airlines from the Johannesburg International Airport (or the O.R. Tambo as it is now known as) to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport (airport code MQP), where you can then pick up a hire car from the airport and drive into Kruger.

The flight takes about an hour. The journey time then from the airport to the main Paul Kruger Gate would be about one hour.

From Cape Town

There are one daily scheduled flight that flies direct from Cape Town to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport, and this takes about 2.5 hours.
