Porini Lion Camp

Porini Lion Safari Camp is located in the exclusive 20,000 acre Olare Orok Conservancy, whic is adjacent to the Masai Mara National Reserve. This expansive conservancy is home to an abundance of wildlife including the big cats for which the Mara is famous. The camp is situated on the banks of a seasonal river, which has some permanent hippo pools near the camp itself.

The local Masai community members own the Olare Orok Conservancy and the majority of the camp staff are from the surrounding communities.

Guests can also go on escorted bush walks in the Conservancy with Masai warriors and a safari guide, and learn more about the flora, fauna and people of the surrounding areas.

Night drives on the Conservancy can also be enjoyed.

The 10 guest tents are very spacious and have private verandahs along the length of the tent, providing a secluded and private 'space' for you to relax and enjoy the beauty of this African wilderness. Each tent has an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet and a hot 'bucket' shower.

There is also a main dining tent and lounge area, where guests can relax and discuss the activities of the day with each other.
