Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge around this time, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.

Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

3 meals daily including all teas and coffees, 2 scheduled game drives daily in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker OR canoeing OR river boat cruises on the Mzinene River, interactive bush walks (one hour) accompanied by an experienced armed tracker, soft drinks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water, laundry service and emergency medical evacuation insurance are included.

The rate excludes all other extras, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge and all airport taxes.

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.

Other Useful Information

A private Land Rover can be pre-booked, subject to availability. This will be an additional cost - rates available on request.

All rooms are air-conditioned. There is a swimming pool for guest's enjoyment.

Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Diners credit cards are accepted.

Game drives normally last approximately 3 - 4 hours, and depart at the following times: Spring and summer (September - March): Morning game drive 5:30 am; Afternoon / evening game drive 4pm; Autumn and winter (April - August): Morning game drive 6 am; Afternoon / evening game drive 3:30 pm.

The lodge offers a specially structured and unique children's programme. Please enquire with the lodge manager on arrival. Early dinners for children are available.

For safety reasons, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game drives or nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge. Shortened game drives (free of charge) may be arranged, at the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers (these services cannot be pre-booked).

Children 6 to 11 years of age will be permitted to participate in the regular game drives, at the discretion of the lodge manager and / or ranger, but cannot participate in nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge.

Child minders are available in the evenings as well as during game drives but must be booked on the day of arrival at the lodge and must be paid directly at the lodge on departure. Child minding is done by lodge house-keeping staff.

All terrain vehicles, canoes, mokoros and boating activities (where applicable) are available to adults of 16 years and older only.
