Check-In and Check-Out Times
Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge around this time, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.
Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.
Published Rates Include
All meals, tea / coffee, 2 scheduled game drives daily in an open 4x4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker, interactive bush walks (one hour), house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water and laundry service are included. IN ADDITION: There is a one-off Conservation fee of R150 per person payable directly to the lodge when you arrive. PLEASE NOTE: For self-drive visitors, there is also a one-off cash vehicle entrance fee of R120 per vehicle payable at the main Control Gate. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).
Children Policy
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.

Other Useful Information
A private Land Rover can be pre-booked, subject to availability. This will be an additional cost - rates available on request.
Ngala's guest areas include a spacious thatched sitting, bar and dining area with impressive open fireplaces, shaded swimming pool and sundecks overlooking a busy waterhole.
Dinner is served either in the traditional African boma (reeded enclosure) or in the romantic lantern-lit courtyard.
The lodge has a well-stocked craft gallery.
The excellent game viewing experience is complemented by other activities such as stargazing, bird-watching and moonlit bush dinners and bush sundowners (weather permitting).
The lodge offers a specially structured and unique children's programme. Please enquire with the lodge manager on arrival. Early dinners for children are available.
For safety reasons, children 5 years and younger cannot participate in the regular game drives or nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge. Shortened game drives (free of charge) may be arranged, at the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers (these services cannot be pre-booked). Children 6 to 11 years of age will be permitted to participate in the regular game drives, at the discretion of the lodge manager and / or ranger, but cannot participate in nature walks outside the boundaries of the lodge.
Child minders are available in the evenings as well as during game drives but must be booked on the day of arrival at the lodge and must be paid directly at the lodge on departure. Child minding is done by lodge house-keeping staff.
