Check-In and Check-Out Times
Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday pm on the day of arrival. If you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.
Rooms must normally be vacated by 10.30 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.
Published Rates Include
2 safaris (game drives) daily, a guided walking trail, full breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fresh bakes, dinner and tourism levy are included.
The rate excludes your personal bar account, soft drinks, telephone, curios, health spa facilities, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable entrance fees and bed levies.
Children Policy
Children aged 2 years and older are welcome. Rates available on request. Parents with children under the age of 6 years must hire a private Land Rover for game drives. Babysitting services are available.
Other Useful Information
All suites are air-conditioned, and have fans, safes, mini bars, as well as tea and coffee facilities. Private decks leading out towards the river provide the ideal place to relax or enjoy bird spotting and game viewing.
Lukimbi is proud to serve South African wines and wine tasting is held most evenings before dinner. This gives guests the chance to sample before choosing the wines offered, or alternatively, visiting the cellar and choosing one of the many estate wines available.
During the summer, Lukimbi has special Swazi evenings. Guests are able to choose from a selection of clothes to be loaned for that evening. Some history and information on the Swazi people is told to guests and of course, the staff join in the fun.
Massage and beauty therapy is available and bookings can be made either by calling the lodge in advance or when you arrive. There is also a very well equipped gym.
The library has many interesting books, whether it is fact or fiction guests prefer. A computer station is available for sending emails to the family or office. The well stocked curio shop features South African artistic creations, as well as interesting clothes and curios.
Trips to places of interest outside the Park can be arranged. These include helicopter flights to places of great scenic beauty.
A TV is available to view important sports or news events.
Children's videos are available in the Safari Play Room, which is open from 7 am to 1 pm, and again from 4 pm onwards. A supervisor is present at all times. A range of specific children's activites are available.
For children under 12, additional child-minding by staff members is available from 5.30 am - rates available on request.
Families with children over 3 years must reserve their own private vehicle - rates are available on request.
