Bateleur Camp is located in the Londolozi Private Game Reserve, a 14,000 hectare exclusive safari destination situated in the heart of the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve. Meaning 'protector of all living things' in Zulu, Londolozi is renowned for its progressive ecotourism practices, and is one of the most sought-after safari destinations in Africa.

Comfortable guest areas at the Varty Camp showcase Londolozi's remarkable history with photographs from its early days as a rustic bushcamp.

Built in 1926, 4 original rondavels now house a wine cellar, an early bedroom, a library and an internet / information room and presentation area, where guests can learn more about Londolozi's role in conservation development in Africa.

All meals, tea / coffee, 2 scheduled game drives daily, interactive bush walks (one hour), house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water and a laundry service are included. IN ADDITION: For all visitors, there is an entrance fee of R30 per person to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, payable IN CASH at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R120 per vehicle cash entrance fee (R150 from 1st January 2012). All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.
