Lion Sands Ivory Lodge

Lion Sands Ivory Lodge has been built on the banks of the Sabie River, offering breathtaking views over the river where game viewing can be done from the luxury of one's private suite. The Lion Sands Private Game Reserve is situated in the southern portion of the 65,000 hectare Sabi Sand Game Reserve, an area well known for its spectacular game viewing.

The reserve has exclusive access to the Sabie River, which is central to why Lion Sands delivers an incomparable safari experience. Where there is water there is life and sanctuary from the heat of the African sun - a place where the wildlife travel great distances to quench their thirsts, and so much more. This is the natural wonder which can be experienced at Lion Sands.

Ivory Lodge was awarded the prestigious Tatler UK Travel Magazine award for being the best Hotel / Lodge in Africa 2006.

The Health Spa is named 'Lalamuka' which is the Shangaan word for 'unwind', and offers a wide range of aromatherapy, reflexology, massages, aqua treatments.

The 6 ultra luxurious suites all have en-suite bathrooms with outdoor and inside showers, a courtyard, lounge with fireplace, wooden viewing deck, patio and private plunge pool.

The bedroom and bathroom area are air-conditioned and overhead fans cool the bedrooms and lounges. All rooms have telephone and internet access.

The suites are linked to all areas by raised wooden walkways.

2 game drives in open Land Rovers, 3 meals daily, game drive refreshments, teas and coffees, laundry service, beverages (excluding premium brands and imports), and Skukuza airport transfers are included. Subject to weather conditions, the rate also includes bush breakfasts and bush dinners, bush walks, full moon walks, wildlife lectures, safari lunches, hippopotamus river tour and astronomy.

The rate excludes curio shop purchases, health spa treatments, premium brand and import beverages, telephone calls, staff gratuities, any other road or air transfers to and from the lodge, all airport taxes and applicable Sabi Sand entrance fees.

Children aged 10 years and older are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 10 can only be accommodated IF the entire lodge is block-booked by the same group of family - rates available on request.
