Check-In and Check-Out Times
Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge by this time, so you can relax and check into your room, and enjoy high tea before going out on your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.
Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.
Published Rates Include
3 meals daily including all teas and coffees, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water, 2 scheduled game-drives daily in an open 4 x 4 safari vehicle, accompanied by an experienced ranger and tracker, interpretive nature walks daily (one hour) accompanied by an experienced armed tracker, transfers in a game-drive vehicle from Heatherton (Reception and parking area) to the lodge, laundry and valet service and emergency medical evacuation insurance are included.
The rate excludes all other extras, any road or air transfers to and from the lodge and all airport taxes.

A private Land Rover can be pre-booked, subject to availability. This will be an additional cost - rates available on request Current rate: R4500 per vehicle per day, (subject to change).
All the suites have en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor showers, separate WC, twin basins, personal bars, portable phone for room service and covered verandas. The d?cor is African-inspired, with earth-toned fabrics, indigenous timber and early settler antiques and artefacts. Each suite has a private river deck and plunge pools overlooking the Great Fish River.
Guest areas are spacious, with generous, wraparound viewing decks leading from the dining room, bar and sitting areas. The sitting, library and dining areas each have a fireplace. The wine cellar has a selection of premier South African wines catering for the connoisseur.
Pan-African cuisine can be served on your private river deck, or enjoyed under a canopy of stars in the firelit boma. Alternatively, meals can be taken in the sociable ambience of the spacious dining area.
