Kirkman's Kamp

Kirkman's Kamp in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve was named in honour of W. Harry Kirkman, one of South Africa's foremost conservationists. Today, the Sabi Sands Game Reserve is known to have the greatest diversification of animal species on the African continent.

Undoubtedly the most prestigious game park in South Africa, the 65,000 hectare Sabi Sand Game Reserve is renowned for having the best Big Five game viewing in the country, if not the world. Located on the southwestern corner of the Greater Kruger National Park, there are no restricting fences, thus enabling the animals to roam freely just as nature intended.

Experienced rangers and trackers will lead you on morning and afternoon/evening game-drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles.

You will also have the opprtunity to explore the Sabi Sand Game Reserve on interpretive wilderness walks led by experienced rangers or expert Shangaan trackers, and learn more about the area's intriguing fauna and flora.

Kirkman's Kamp, with its spectacular views of the unspoilt wilderness and the Sabi Sand River, is regarded as one of the best loved lodges in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve.

All 18 of the guest cottages have private verandahs and en-suite bathrooms.

There is also a swimming pool for relaxing around inbetween safari activities.
