Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may normally be occupied from 1 pm on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge for about this time so you can enjoy lunch, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon game drive.

Rooms must normally please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

All meals and accommodation, tea / coffee, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and 2 game drives daily with refreshments and nature walks are included. PLEASE NOTE: The Tourism Bed Levy (R10 per person per night (subject to change) and all other drinks are NOT included. IN ADDITION: There is a one-off Conservation fee of R150 per person payable directly to the lodge when you arrive. For self-drive visitors, there is also a one-off cash vehicle entrance fee of R120 per vehicle payable at the main Control Gate. All rate subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children Policy

Children aged 6 years and older are welcome. Rates available on request. All children are allowed on normal game drives.

Other Useful Information

The suites all have indoor and private outdoor showers, mosquito nets, remote controlled air-conditioning, purposefully stocked mini bar fridge, tea / coffee making facilities, gowns, mosquito repellents, umbrellas, torches, a safe and a telephone.

The following therapies / treatments are available: reflexology; aromatherapy; Indian head massage; body massage; facials; pedicures; manicures. Rates available on request.

Kings Camp can also arrange tours to the following places of interest : a Mpumalanga Helicopter Safari to the beautiful Blyde River Canyon; Hans Merensky Golf Estate - a challenging 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course, where crocodile and hippo add spice to the normal hazards of a good game of golf; Moholoholo wildlife and rehabilitation center - an extremely informative and exciting tour of an African wildlife rehabilitation centre; Hoedspruit Research and breeding centre for endangered species - an informative and entertaining tour of the research and breeding centre in the company of an experienced guide - the highlights being the viewing of an excess of 60 cheetahs including the extremely rare King Cheetah, a visit to the vulture restaurant and an introduction to the world of wild dogs.
