The award-winning Hilltop Camp, which is run by KZN Wildlife, is situated in the north of the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Park, right on the top of a hill, and offers superb views of the surrounding countryside and game reserve.

The camp facilities include a restaurant, an attractive pub, and a lounge decorated with photographs and memorabilia of the history of Hluhluwe, as well as a gift shop and a convenience store.

The accommodation ranges from a luxury lodge which is ideal for large groups or families travelling together, to a variety of superbly appointed chalets and more basic rondavels / rest huts.

Price Guide: From ZAR640 ( approx U$ 86 ) per person. Special Offers may apply - prices on request.

Accommodation only basis unless otherwise specified. B&B and DB&B package rates available on request. PLEASE NOTE: The rate EXCLUDES the Daily Conservation Levy, which is payable upon arrival at the camp - currently R110 per adult and 50% for children (subject to change).

Swimming Pool and Restaurant.

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request.

"We had a tremendous time in South Africa, and really enjoyed the itinerary you put together for us.

I was a bit sceptical about Simunye, but it turned out to be an absolutely fascinating stay - from the dancing, to the horse riding to the tales told around the fire ... Hluhluwe was also absolutely brilliant - teeming with wild-life (though no lions or leopards!) and extremely comfortable accomadation and friendly and knowledgeable staff.

In short we all fell in love with South Africa, and I would like to thank you specially for using your experience to point us in the right directions. It was a holiday of a life-time, and thank you so much for putting it all together. We will recommend you without hesitation if anyone is looking for travel help!"
