Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from 12 midday on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge around this time, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.

Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

All meals, tea / coffee, 2 scheduled game drives daily, interactive bush walks, house wines, local brand spirits and beers, soft drinks and bottled water and a laundry service are included. IN ADDITION: For all visitors, there is an entrance fee of R30 per person to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, payable IN CASH at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R120 per vehicle cash entrance fee (R150 from 1st January 2012). All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 6 are not allowed on game drives, but shortened game drives (FOC) may be arranged with the lodge subject to availability of Land Rovers and rangers. Children aged 6 to 11 are allowed on game drives at the Lodge Manager's discretion. Children under 12 are not allowed on bush walks. Babysitting services are available.

Other Useful Information

Each air-conditioned suite features generous spaces, elegant en-suite bathrooms with twin hand basins, separate WC, bath, indoor and outdoor showers. Private plunge pools are surrounded by spacious decks that overlook the river.

River Lodge?s magnificently positioned guest sitting and dining areas overlook the Sand River, and are filled with deep sofas perfect for whiling away the hours between game drives. Delicious Pan African meals are shared in the open air boma or at romantic candlelit bush dinners. The Lodge has a curio shop.

All major credit cards are accepted.

A private Land Rover is available for hire at an additional cost.
