Exeter Leadwood Private Game Lodge

Set on the banks of the Sand River, Exeter Leadwood Private Game Lodge brings a new dimension to the African safari experience. The emphasis here is on quality, luxury, and privacy, and as one of only 8 guests, you are assured of a truly personal service from the outstanding and friendly staff.

The lodge boasts one of the finest locations in the whole reserve, and elephants, buffalo, and other game are frequently spotted in the river from the lodge itself. Morning and afternoon game drives on open Land Rovers provide further unrivalled game viewing in the company of highly skilled rangers and Shangaan trackers.

The lodge is a tactile melange of boldly expressed and contrasted materials - crushed stone, dark meranti, rough granite, glass and air. Soft furnishings provide a lush and colourful counterpoint to the textures and patinas of the structure.

Evening meals are served either under the stars in the boma or in the magnificent lounge and dining area which overlooks the river and the savanna beyond.

Cocooned in natural bush, the 4 luxurious suites are distanced from each other to offer solitude and serenity.

Interiors are uncluttered yet contemporary, restrained yet cosseting.

The en-suite bathrooms have a freestanding bath, and in addition, each suite has an outside shower, as well as its own private eternity edge pool, wrapped around by a wooden deck and cupped by a granite wall, which comes alive with a fine spray.
