In the heart of the spectacular 76,000 hectare malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve, Etali Safari Lodge rises to meet you with lavish hospitality. Built of rugged indigenous stone, thatch and wood, and laced together by winding pathways, Etali is an exclusive, intimate haven.

Africa's Big 5, the African wild dog (the world's most endangered canine), as well as black and white rhino, cheetah, giraffe and many other wildlife species can be seen on the Madikwe Plains at any given time. Every day in the bush brings a new experience.

Guests can enjoy the exciting unpredictability of early morning and afternoon game drives - a leopard sitting on a rock licking his paws - the black rhino with attitude - the watchful matriarch elephant, bigger than you ever imagined - a pride of lions relaxing in the shade ...

In-between game drives, relax and be pampered in the tranquillity of the Wellness Centre or enjoy the sheer pleasure of a massage on your own sundeck.

The 8 luxurious air-conditioned suites are each set apart for total privacy in its own bushveld domain. The mix of cool and earthy colours in the decor is a peaceful contrast to the unsurpassed beauty of the sweet-thorn acacia trees outside.

Price Guide: From ZAR5745 ( approx U$ 773 ) per person. Special Offers may apply - prices on request.

All meals, house wine, local beers, tea / coffee, mineral water, soft drinks, 2 daily game drives OR one daily game drive and one daily bush walk are included. PLEASE NOTE: All other drinks are NOT included. For self-drive visitors, the cash entrance fee of R150 per adult and R100 per child (subject to change) to enter the reserve is also not included. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded and are payable directly to the lodge (rates on request).

"Our stay at Etali Safari Lodge was wonderful thanks and all aspects of the lodge were excellent - standard of accommodation was fantastic, the staff were lovely and the food and game drives were brilliant! Saw lots of lions there! The private viewing deck and heated whirlpool, were both a wonderful experience and it was hard to leave when the time came!
