Guest Comments for Dugong Beach Lodge

“Since the cyclone in 2007 devastated the whole area, Dugong Beach Lodge has basically been completely rebuilt. Now all the rustic but luxurious lodges are right on the sea front and the communal areas are excellent, with a lovely large decked area which extends onto a long jetty.

Being in a nature reserve we saw flamingos, eagles and amazing sea life, even just snorkeling off the jetty.

The staff at Dugong were fantastic, incredibly friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were recommended a couple of trips to different parts of the area, including lunch on a little island and a trip across the reserve to the Indian Ocean, both of which we thoroughly enjoyed.

The seafood, beautiful remote location, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service made for a perfect trip.”
