Rooms may be occupied from 12.30 pm on the day of arrival. If possible, aim to arrive at the lodge for about 1 pm, so you can check into your room and relax before your first afternoon game drive, but if you don't think you can arrive by this time, you should aim to arrive by 3 pm at the very latest, or else you may miss the afternoon drive.
Rooms must please be vacated by 11 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.
Published Rates Include
2 safaris (game drives) daily, a guided walking trail, full breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea with fresh bakes, dinner and tourism levy are included. PLEASE NOTE: All other drinks (including sundowner drinks) are NOT included. IN ADDITION: For all visitors, there is an entrance fee of R30 per person (R40 per person effective 1st September 2012) to enter the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, payable IN CASH at the entrance gate. Self-drive visitors must ALSO pay a R150 per vehicle cash entrance fee (R160 per vehicle effective 1st September 2012). All rates subject to change. For guests arriving and departing via FedAir, the landing / departure fees are also excluded (payable directly to the lodge - rates on request).
Children Policy
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Babysitting services are available.
Other Useful Information
The chalets each have a private deck, plunge pool and separate sitting room. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and outdoor shower. All the chalets have air-conditioning, fans, mosquito nets, a telephone and bar fridge.
The main lodge includes a large double deck, outdoor dining, wine cellar, bar overlooking the watering hole, indigenous aquarium, and a suspended bird-watching tower. There is also an internet library with detailed wildlife websites, a gym and a relaxation room.
After morning game drives, guests may accompany their Shangaan guide to his nearby village, where they will have the opportunity of interacting with his family and friends in a very authentic and contemporary African environment.
