Check-In and Check-Out Times

Rooms may be occupied from 2 pm on the day of arrival, and must please be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure for the convenience of arriving guests.

Published Rates Include

Accommodation only basis unless otherwise specified. B&B and DB&B package rates available on request.

The rate is inclusive of gate entry fee, community levy and emergency rescue levy.

Children Policy

Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request.

Other Useful Information

Gate Opening and Closing Times:
Summer: Opening 5 am, Closing 7 pm.
Winter: Opening 6 am, Closing 6 pm.

Office Hours: The office is open from 7 am to 7 pm.

There is a shop that sells curios and limited supplies and a restaurant, bar and special smoking lounge with DSTV at the camp.

Petrol may be purchased from the Cathedral Peak Hotel.

Special Precautions: When hiking be prepared for rapid changes of weather and extreme conditions especially cold. Before hiking the Mountain Rescue Register must be completed.

The nearest towns which have a full range of services are Bergville and Winterton which are both 50 km away.

The Didima San Rock Art Centre, is one of the new 'must sees' of South Africa. The displays and show projections explain different aspects of the Bushmen, and story telling brings the tales to life. The projection show is about 14 minutes in length and is played every hour between 9 am and 12 midday and once in the afternoon at 3 pm. The Ndumeni craft shop and coffee shop are also on site. For more information, enquire at the Main Desk on arrival at the Camp.
