Directions

From Johannesburg or Pretoria : Take N1 North towards Pietersburg. Ensure you have cash on you at this stage, as this road has several toll gates.

At the Kranskop Toll Gate go left towards Modimolle (Nylstroom) on the R33. Pass through Modimolle and head in the direction of Vaalwater. Pass directly through Vaalwater and continue until you see the signs for the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve. At the East Gate sign turn left and follow the gravel road for 10 km.

As no private vehicles are allowed in the Welgevonden Game Reserve, guests driving themselves are required to park their car at the East Gate. Safe covered parking is provided at the gate on the inside of the reserve.
