Chobe Savanna
Chobe Savanna is located on a peninsula on the northern bank Chobe River in the East Caprivi of Namibia. The lodge overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park’s Puku Flats and is located approximately 90 kilometres due west of Victoria Falls.
The area is home to a wide variety of African wildlife, including the rare puku antelope. Large herds of hippo, buffalo and elephant come down to the Chobe River edge to drink and graze.
The game viewing from the main deck areas is superb enough, or you can go out on a private motor boat for water born game viewing. For something more adventurous, you can go out on a guided walking safaris along the river, led by professional guides.
The lodge also offers boat excursions to a nearby traditional village, where you can witness tribal African life.
The main lodge area has an open-air swimming pool with a beautiful sun deck and a boma boma area on the banks of the Chobe River, where guests are treated to panoramic views and traditional dancing performed by the local villagers.
