From Nelspruit
Take the N4 to Malelane, and travel for approximately another 40 km until the left turn into Komatipoort. Drive through Komatipoort towards the Crocodile Bridge Gate which is approximately 8 km.

There is a Kruger National Park Daily Conservation Fee payable at the entrance gate - this is currently R40 per person per stay PLUS a one-off vehicle entrance fee of R40 for self-drive visitors / going up to R45 per person per stay PLUS a one-off vehicle entrance fee of R45 for self-drive visitors from 1st November 2010 (all rates subject to change).

Once inside the Kruger National Park, travel for 4 km and cross the Vurhami bridge. Turn right at the first Shishangeni Lodge sign onto a gravel road. Turn right at the second sign board for Shishangeni Lodge. There is a no entry sign for general public. Drive for approximately 10 km. This road will take you directly to Shishangeni Lodge. Guests will then be transfered from Shishangeni to Camp Shonga.

Do not get out of your car until you reach the lodge. You may see some wildlife on your way - if you do, slow down and maintain a good distance. Do not drive off-road in any circumstances.

PLEASE NOTE : The Kruger National Park prohibits the use of roads within the Park before the gates are open and once the gates are closed, therefore guests need to plan their arrival and departure times carefully. You cannot arrange to leave the Park before the gates are open, and you must ensure that you arrive at the entrance gate with sufficient time to drive through the Park to reach your destination by the time the gate closes, otherwise you may not be permitted to enter.
