Boulders Beach Lodge
Situated just footsteps from Boulders Beach, home to the African Penguin, Boulders Beach Lodge is nestled in a sheltered cove where the mountains meet the sea and exudes an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. With a host of outdoor activities in the area - from hiking to aqua sports, and historical Simon's Town on the doorstep, relaxation comes easily to those who stay.
The restaurant provides creative and daring dishes and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The central terrace is the social heart of the lodge and is a look out point for passing whales and penguins watching people watching penguins.
Boulders Coastal Park, which forms part of the Table Mountain National Park, is one of the few sites where this vulnerable bird can be observed at close range.
To guests delight, the penguins can generally be found walking around the lodge and restaurant.
Two self-catering units are available with fully equipped kitchen and lounge. There are 2 bedrooms in each unit - one double and one twin and a double sleeper couch - which makes these ideal for families.
