AmaKhosi Safari Lodge
AmaKhosi Safari Lodge is situated in the 12,000 hectare Amazulu Private Game Reserve, about 4 hours north of Durban.
The reserve is made up of a varied ecosystem which includes savanna, mountains and wetlands – making it the ideal home to the Big 5 as well as giraffe, zebra, warthog and hyena, hippopotamus and crocodile. There are also no less than 400 bird species.
For those who prefer to relax at camp, there is a library, swimming pool, game viewing deck and an outdoor lounge overlooking the flowing Mkuze River.
The en-suite bathroom with a unique bath made for 2 is decorated with an array of candles and bath salts allowing decadence to take on a whole new meaning and bringing tranquillity and serenity.
There is also a private villa which overlooks the Mkuze River, which can accommodate up to 4 guests. Guests staying here have their own ranger, tracker and private game vehicle for game drives.
Rates
Price Guide: From ZAR2135 ( approx U$ 287 ) per person. Special Offers may apply - prices on request.
Brunch, high tea (late lunch), dinner, all local beverages, bush walks and 2 game activities per day with qualified guides are included.
Children of any age are welcome. Rates available on request. Children under 8 years old are not allowed on main game drives, but babysitting services can be arranged. A separate Childrens Programme is available at an additional cost - currently R350 per child (subject to change).
