Addo Main Rest Camp
The world-famous Addo Elephant National Park is home to around 400 elephants, who roam freely among the 125,000 hectare reserve alongside black rhino, buffalo, kudu and red hartebeest, the extremely elusive and rarely seen leopard, and over 400 bird species. Addo is one of the more scenic National Parks in South Africa, with rolling green hills covered in thick, lush vegetation, most of it evergreen, so it is attractive at whatever time you visit.
Day, sunrise, sunset and night guided drives of approximately 2 hours duration are available at an additional cost. Drives are conducted by knowledgeable, qualified guides on open-top Land Rovers or trucks, and really are the best way to see the elephants amongst the thick bushes.
All horse trails are conducted by experienced guides on sure-footed, well-trained horses.
There is also a swimming pool for guest's enjoyment, plus a bird hide, a discovery trail through the valley thicket where you can learn more about the plants and animals of the region, and various hiking trails.
Most of the accommodation have their own kitchen / kitchenette, apart from the rondavels and the cabins, which have communal kitchen facilities. There is a swimming pool, and a small shop where you can buy a limited range of food, or else there is a restaurant which is open for all meals.
Accommodation only.
The rate excludes all meals and Daily Conservation Fees.
