SA to relax Chinese Visa applications
The Department of Home Affairs has announced that it will gradually relax the visa restrictions applicable to Chinese travellers wanting to come to South Africa to attend the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Tourists attending the event will now be allowed to leave their country for a period of 3 months without having to obtain a visa. In addition, individual Chinese travellers coming to SA on business will be granted visas, providing they pay a refundable deposit of 15,000 yuan.
This will hopefully attract many more visitors from China in the forthcoming months.
