Properties in South Africa are rated by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa (TGCSA) who aim to provide a clear and consistent ranking for all properties in line with international standards.
The TGCSA is a relatively new organisation, and not all properties have been rated as yet - where there is no TGCSA rating available, Travel Butlers has produced it's own rating based on the TGCSA guidelines.
